Coaching

Brea is an experienced coach and has a huge passion for teaching riders of all levels and ambitions.

Brea has ESNZ and NZPCA Coaching Qualifications. In addition to these attended a series of ‘Coach Evolve’ seminars run by Harbour Sport to develop her coaching technique further. She draws on the knowledge she has retained working for some of the world’s best including; Sir Mark Todd, Laura Collett MBE and William Fox-Pitt. While overseas Brea has been lucky enough to also have lessons from Yogi Breisner who has hugely influenced the way she goes about training not only riders but horses.

Brea’s coaching philosophy is structured to produce rideable horses with fantastic foundations through teaching riders to be disciplined, effective and analytic.

Although her main focus is Eventing, Brea coaches all disciplines; Dressage, Show Hunter, Show Jumping and Cross Country. She also loves producing Young Horses and watching them develop through the system.

Schooling sessions can also be combined with a lesson (1/2 schooling, ½ lesson) to help resolve any difficulties a combination may be having.

Brea has a passion for producing young horses and fine tuning performance on more established horses.

Brea schools ponies from 14hh right through to big hacks! Dressage horses to pony club ponies and eventers to green broke horses.

With extensive hacking and paddock riding onsite, a 60 x 40 jumping arena and NEC just a short drive away, Brea has a variety of facilities helping her to provide exposure to different environments, fitness, hacking, schooling and address any issues a horse may be facing. Competing options are also offered.

Short Term Grazing

In such a central but quiet Taupo location Brea Walker Eventing offers overnight/short stay grazing options.
Whether you’re competing at NEC and wish to stay offsite, staying in Kinloch on holiday
or staying overnight before heading to HOY we have options for grazing.
There is also an Air B and B onsite.
